vagrant up a completely working version of virt-manager for your Mac.
Installing the Homebrew package was not working for me.
- Get XQuartz if you don’t already have it.
- Clone this repo and run
vagrant up, it will take some time. Meanwhile… - Prepare your
ssh-agentwith the keys/certs you will use to connect to your remote hosts (ssh-addthem) - Run
vagrant ssh -- -Y -A virt-manager - Profit!
The first time you connect to an host, it might fail with a “Host key verification failed”. That’s because the key of the remote server is not yet saved in your known_hosts file. Do a vagrant ssh -A into the machine and try connecting to your remote host manually: ssh username@remote. It should be failing, make sure you fix the error and you’re good to go.
