I really like the focus on fewer meetings and more deep work. That's a big win.

One thought on the async standups Tue/Wed/Thu: since we will be tracking work in GitHub, it might be simpler and cleaner to use the tickets themselves as the async status updates.

Updating issue status and adding short progress comments (and marking blockers directly on the board) keeps GitHub as the single source of truth, avoiding context from being split between Discord and issues.

That way, the backlog becomes both our execution tool and our documentation, and the automation around stale issues becomes even more powerful. We could even check for stale issues daily and ping owners to post a quick update directly on the ticket, so progress, blockers, and context are always linked to the work itself.
