Generally it looks good and it's an incredible amount of work. Most of the code is independent from existing functionality so I'm not worried about potential errors/bugs, but there are also changes in common logic. I would deploy stepwise (as a branch without merging) and leave for some days to see that nothing breaks. Otherwise I have no objection.
