Basically just wanted to let you know that I've explored similar avenues in another project, as you may be interested in what I had come up with.. I had started with a mini custom ClassLoader based module loader of my own as I'm assuming you are here, and then concluded that embedding OSGi actually really turned out to be quite easy, so went with that.
