This is a follow up on 8fadebb, which removed the change from #7242, which added an informative class to the new display values, in order to be ignored by spec sniffing tools, because the canonical display definition already includes them.

I tried to add .informative to <pre>, which seems to be fixed (speced/bikeshed#3069). @tabatkins, did you have a specific reason for permanently removing .informative, or would you agree to put it back but on <pre>?
