Alternate file works only one way

A have a component located in:
[project_root]/packs/heartland_pos/app/components/heartland_pos/base_api.rb
And :A command works perfectly fine on it, switching me to:
[project_root]/packs/heartland_pos/spec/components/heartland_pos/base_api_spec.rb

But it doesn't work the opposite way, from the spec. It there any gotcha i'm missing?

@Seybo you are missing that you need to be in the spec folder in order to jump between alternate files.
app/model/user.rb -> spec/model/user_spec.rb

@Seybo Hi! I have the same issue (kinda) and it's been driving me batty for a long time.

MY issue was related to the plugin lazy-loading while using using lazy.nvim as my package manager with neovim. The plugin was not loading until I opened a Rails file for the first time, so the commands never loaded for that first file I opened and worked for subsequent files.

If I restored an nvim session that had many Rails buffers open, commands would be broken for all of those files, making the problem seem more widespread than it actually was.

If this sounds like you (or future spelunkers), turning off lazy loading for vim-rails has fixed the issue for me.

hi @cam-ball Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me. And i believe the problem is that my directories are very custom, like i demonstrated in my initial description
