Is there a way I can create an image overlay and fit this image to a position boundary of the map so that the image overlay can be resized and moved accordingly?

Great question. If this image is a rather small image like a walking man or so I suggest to use a marker, this may be easier. Otherwise you can add an overlay with the TransformWidget included. See MarkerDatastoreOverlay or LabelOverlay for an example. This widget modifies the canvas by rotating, scaling and moving it according to the latest MapPosition.

Thanks for the quite reply. I did find some tests that use TransformWidget but not MarkerDatastoreOverlay or LabelOverlay in this package?

I am in the process of refactoing the whole library. Please have a look at the branch refactoring_2025. If you are new I suggest to use that branch since I will merge it soon to the master branch and publish it to pub.dev.
