Issue with meridiem's left side bar and grouping

In the latest version, the left sidebar where one can edit the time and message is gone. The grouping is not working.

Is it possible to revert to the previous version and update the full functions later?

Note: I found that the grouping is possible with the new markdown format.

The default sidebar is changed with opening a new text mode column. The difference is that the left/right column will not scroll simultaneously.
