Taking indefinite time to compile the project.

i am trying to compile and run "Example" project (https://github.com/mapbox/mapbox-scenekit/archive/master.zip) using Xcode 10.2.1 and iPad pro with 12.3.1. But it is taking lot of time to compile the project(Stopped compilation at Building 34 of 55 Task), finally making Mac machine to freeze & restart . I have tested this in iMac, Mac book Pro and faced the same problem.
