Can´t make Shuttle work in Monterey

Hi there!

I thought I could do the same in Monterey that I did in BigSur (System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Accessibility -> Privacy -> unlock -> delete and add Shuttle, Terminal and iTerm but didn´t work.

Will appreciate another Shuttle fan feedback!

I suspect that in "Terminal" app preferences the default login shell must be set as well

@christianbraun can you explain a bit what you mean with default login shell?

Preferences of Terminal App. Some users might be using Homebrew and changed this to their liking.
Changing this back to the "default" setting made Shuttle work again for me...

thanks @christianbraun . Unfortunately not for me. I use only Terminal.app and it is default op "default login shell" but cannot open Shuttle.

Other suggestions?

It didn't work for me either - Only very rarely would it work. So I came here because I thought I would fork the repo and make a working version, but then I tried a few of the suggestions in this thread and now it seems to work.

I vent to terminal settings - In the "Shells open with" i selected "Command" and then immediately switched back to "Default login shell". After this I remove Suttle from Accessibility in security setting and then added it again. After this I restarted Shuttle and now it seems to work everytime I try to connect to SSH.

I've been having this same issue ever since I upgraded to Big Sur (like 2 years ago?). I'd tried variations of the steps @angelbatalla listed at the top of this thread several times to no avail, though in hind sight I realize I'd never added Terminal.app to the list of apps allowed to control my computer (only Shuttle).

Today, after installing the Ventura 13.1 update, I thought I'd try this again. I took @christianbraun 's suggestion and made sure my Terminal.app had the same default settings (which it did). Then I went in to Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and I removed both Shuttle and Terminal.app using the minus (-) sign. I edited my shuttle.json settings to set the option back to "tab", and then rebooted for good measure. After starting back up, I went back in to Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility and I added both Shuttle and Terminal.app using the plus (+) sign. I then opened Terminal.app manually and tested out the Shuttle menu items and voila, it worked. Maybe someone else will have similar luck.

Hi, since it does not seem like this app is being maintained I create a new Open Source app MenuBarSSHCommands. Its still basic but does what I needed it to do. Sharing for those on M1 / M2 Apple Silicon.
