It is way too easy to delete huge portions of a model or even the whole model itself.
Why? Because the "delete" button is right next to the "rename" button and there is no confirmation dialog on delete.

Pressing "undo" after an accidental deletion acts exactly like a model import, restoring the model, but not the representations (see #1313).

Agreed. Thanks for pointing this out.
A couple of comments:

• There is a confirmation dialog that comes when choosing the "delete" function from the explorer. Nevertheless, you have probably disabled it when it popped up before, and right now you can reverse this decision, which is something we should improve
• In any case, the undo should work and restore your diagrams. It is not working right now, but for a different reason than the import/export capability. The reason is that the undo has been implemented only for the semantic model, not for diagrams. This is an ongoing work on our end., In the end, the undo mechanism should restore the diagrams as well.

You can reverse the decision by deleting the data/cookies associated to your SysON server address (for example https://my-syson-server.com)

Thanks Axel, it is a nice workaround but not a great solution for a typical user.

As a former pro and current hobby web developer I am aware of this trick but it doesn't really solve the problem for system engineers who 1. don't want to be annoyed by the confirmation popup for every tiny model element, and 2. don't want to accidentally lose hours of work.
