Automake installed but not detected

[GCAT01]

Downloaded from git and tried to build on Linux Mint 21. Got an error that automake is not found, however I have version 1.16.5 installed.

Do I need a different version or does something need to be in a different place?

Just update the line in autogen.sh contain something like automake_progs="automake-1.15 automake-1.14 automake-1.13 automake-1.12 automake-1.11 automake-1.10 automake-1.9 automake-1.8 automake-1.7 automake-1.6 automake-1.5" to include your current version of automake
