Cargo cannot fetch from crates.io

macOS v26.2
fish shell v4.2.1 (installed via Homebrew)
sfw v1.5.3
cargo v1.92.0 (installed via Homebrew)

Repro:

Run sfw cargo fetch

Expected:

Works just like cargo fetch

Observed:

Command errors with:
