feat: how does data get pulled in

A version of the "how do we get data in" but it's about pull rather than push. How do we make it so it's easy and declarative to be able to pull data from an upstream source. Could this be just writing a provider for service like Pipedream? Do we make a generic interface for writing a client to talk to an API?
