Closes #229

Goal

Replace full-scene MSAA with a staged TAA rollout, then evaluate alpha-cutout EQAA separately if needed.

Staged Plan

  • Stage 0: Open draft PR + staged checklist
  • Stage 1: TAA settings/preset scaffolding (no rendering behavior change)
  • Stage 2: Camera Halton jitter integration
  • Stage 3: TAA resources and render-graph pass insertion
  • Stage 4: TAA resolve shader + ghosting rejection
  • Stage 5: Remove full-scene MSAA from main pass path
  • Stage 6: AA UI migration and cleanup
  • Stage 7: Optional cutout-only EQAA (or split into follow-up PR)

Stage 1 Included

  • Added taa_enabled setting and metadata.
  • Added preset support for taa_enabled with backward-compatible default (false).
  • Added explicit taa_enabled values to shipped graphics presets.
  • No active render-path or runtime AA behavior changes yet.

Stage 2 Included

  • Added 4-tap Halton(2,3) jitter state to Camera.
  • Added reverse-Z jittered projection helper in camera.
  • Routed world/G-pass/SSAO/opaque/cloud projection paths through the same jittered projection helper for frame-consistent temporal inputs.
  • Advanced jitter once per rendered frame when taa_enabled is true; reset sequence when disabled.

Stage 3 Included

  • Added TAAPass into RenderGraph between entity rendering and bloom.
  • Added Vulkan-side TAA resource lifecycle scaffolding (TAASystem) and swapchain recreate/deinit hooks.
  • Added RHI entrypoint (computeTAA) so TAA becomes a first-class render stage.

Stage 4 Included

  • Implemented TAA resolve shader (assets/shaders/vulkan/taa.frag) with velocity reprojection, neighborhood clamp, and velocity-based history rejection.
  • Added TAA Vulkan pipeline/render pass/descriptors and ping-pong history targets.
  • Routed bloom and post-process source selection to use TAA output when TAA runs that frame.

Stage 5 Included

  • Forced main HDR path to single-sample (no full-scene MSAA resolve attachments in main pass path).
  • Updated init/recreate/main-pass orchestration to build/render main path with sample count 1.

Stage 6 Included

  • Migrated graphics UI behavior toward TAA-first AA flow.
  • Hid legacy msaa_samples from the graphics menu while keeping setting for compatibility.
  • Ensured FXAA is disabled when TAA is enabled.
  • Updated shipped presets to TAA-focused defaults and preset-apply behavior.

Stage 7 Included

  • Split chunk mesh data path into dedicated solid, cutout, and fluid geometry allocations.
  • Routed block meshing so .cutout render-pass blocks are isolated from solid geometry.
  • Updated world render/shadow traversals and renderability checks to include cutout allocations.
  • This establishes the structural foundation for a cutout-only EQAA target in a follow-up rendering step.

Remove old ui_tex_descriptor_set_layout field from VulkanContext
since it's now managed by PipelineManager.

The segfault was caused by initContext's errdefer freeing ctx, then
app.zig's errdefer calling deinit() again on the freed pointer.

Validation errors during swapchain recreation remain as a known
non-fatal issue - descriptor set lifetime management needs future work.

Fixes PR2_ISSUE.md segfault issue.

Fix critical initialization bug where createSwapchainUIResources was
storing the render pass in ctx.ui_swapchain_render_pass (deprecated field)

This caused createSwapchainUIPipelines to fail with InitializationFailed
because the manager's field was null.

5. Initialize dedicated pool field in createRHI

Validation errors persist but app functions correctly. The handles
are valid (non-null) but validation layer reports them as destroyed.
This suggests a deeper issue with descriptor set lifetime that may
require driver-level debugging.
