Blurry font on headless 4.0 #3

I've got an issue I don't understand within touchdesigner. I'm trying to get my setup running on the new headless firmware.
After updating to the latest touchdesigner build (2023.11220) and m8TD files I am getting very fuzzy text all (fonts) and '{' replacing the alt-zero on the fonts that use it. Window resolution doesn't seem to matter and all other UI elements are being drawn as normal.
I am guessing the .ttf files are not being used properly but I have no experience with TD and am out of my depth.
would be awesome if anyone can explain what i am doing wrong.
