Best settings for discarding slow moving objects (clouds, etc.)

I have an outdoor camera that is intended to monitor events in the sky (lighting, airplanes, and so). It is not a security camera, but I thought that DVR-Scan would be suitable for that.

I have been playing with motion detection for several hours and I can't find the right settings for detecting only those events. The detection is always triggered by the slowly moving clouds or never triggered, depending on the settings.

Could you please suggest me the best setting for my purpose?
